In an impactful 25-year financial services career, Austin has brought his passion for helping advisors find their professional homes to life with organizations such as Kestra Financial, Advantage Financial Group, National Planning Holdings and National Planning Corporation. His diverse experience includes serving as a business development and recruiting leader for broker-dealers, managing director for a fintech provider, and launching a chain of highly successful coffee shops.
Austin began his financial services career with National Planning Corporation (NPC), an independent broker-dealer, where he was instrumental in building the organization’s book of business. In a 12-year span that saw him close over $160 million in revenue, Austin brought in 17 of the firm’s top 20 clients. In 2012, Austin joined the leadership team at UAT, Inc., a fintech company providing cost savings programs and trading automation tools to the asset management industry, as partner and managing director.
After UAT, Austin held executive leadership roles with the National Planning Holdings, Inc. broker-dealer network and Kestra Financial, where he built and managed successful business development and partnership programs. In 2015, Austin co-founded Mojo Coffee, a rapidly expanding coffee shop brand that was recently named to the Inc.com 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies list. In addition to his roles in business ownership and management, he has continued to consult with various financial firms, broker-dealers and advisor networks.
Austin earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and holds certifications from the Miller Heiman Group in Strategic Selling and Conceptual Selling.
He lives with his wife, Tricia, in Austin, TX, and they have three children (Ty, Hudson and Ruby). In his free time, Austin enjoys traveling, skydiving, and snowboarding.
