Frequent readers know I caution financial advisors against making a career move based solely on economic considerations. While deal terms are an important element of my Feel, Fit, and Financials™ approach to due diligence, taking a holistic approach to your transition decision will always be the best determinant of long-term success.
However, some considerations that inform the logistics of a transition – including the financials – do loom larger as year-end approaches. This, in turn, can impact the “go date” financial advisors choose to resign from their firms.
